Jacqui & Alex | Montagu Meadows Wedding | Maryland Wedding Photographer

Last Saturday Jacqui and Alex got married at the beautiful Montagu Meadows in Westminster, Maryland. Their day consisted of sunflowers, navy blue bridesmaids dresses and a beautiful scenic view everywhere you turned. I’ve known Jacqui since the sixth grade when we attended middle school together. After I moved away we lost touch, but reconnected when she asked me to photograph their daughter, Charlotte’s first birthday. After that session I followed Jacqui and Alex on social media. A few months went by before the proposal video popped up on my feed. Jacqui’s reaction to Alex proposing to her on the video was SO adorable. You could see how excited she was to say yes!

Fast forward to the wedding day, that joy was still there. Even through all of the rain, Jacqui and Alex both kept smiles on their faces. After a rainy first look, the ceremony started. A few moments into the ceremony Charlotte decided that she needed to be a part of things and ran up to Jacqui and Alex as they stood front and center at the top of the aisle. You could hear laughter from everyone as Jacqui picked up Charlotte so she could be a part of thins; it was completely heartwarming. Later on, Charlotte then joined them for their first dance, another adorable moment!

All in all, it was the perfect day. It may have rained, but it stopped just long enough for portraits and some outdoor dancing (I absolutely love Montagu Meadow’s outdoor patio dancefloor!). It was an honor being a part of Jacqui and Alex’s wedding day. I am so thankful I was there to capture the moments and work alongside some awesome vendors who helped make their day possible!
