This past Friday I got to witness and capture a very special wedding at The Lodges at Gettysburg! This wedding was so special to me because Jenn and I went to high school and played field hockey together! Field hockey was most definitely my favorite part of high school, and I am sure that most of the girls on the team would agree with me! It was an honor being able to capture one of my teammates most important days.

Jenn and Kevin had such a beautiful and emotional wedding day. One special thing that they included in their day was reading their vows to each other after the first look. It was such a sweet moment to be a part of and honestly, it was hard to keep it together. They shared laughter, tears of joy and raw emotions...it was amazing. These two are meant to be and this moment (among many others I'm sure) proved that. After the vow reading it was time for the ceremony, which was officiated by Jenn's sister, Allison. As the ceremony started everyone could see the clouds coming in and hear thunder in the distance. The amazing thing was that the moment the horse drawn carriage pulled up with Jenn, the clouds split and filled the ceremony with warm light. I can't even describe how beautiful this moment was!

After the heartwarming ceremony we photographed family, bridal party and then decided to hop in the golf cart to get photos of Jenn and Kevin in front of the flag pole. The moment we all got into the golf cart it POURED down rain! The timing couldn't have been more perfect! We all rode back to the lodges laughing and trying not to get soaked. Gotta love those summer time thunder storms! One amazing thing came from this quick bout of rain and that was a rainbow! Tim and I saw it out the front window and ran through the venue to get Jenn and Kevin who happily followed us for some more photos.

The remainder of the day went off without a hitch. The reception was full of family and friends who were over-the-moon happy for these two! Without further ado please enjoy some of my favorite images from Jenn and Kevin's wedding day!
