Annie & Mike | Backyard Fall Wedding | Sarah Wockenfuss Photography

Wow! That is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Annie and Mike's wedding last weekend. Their wedding was absolutely a one-of-a-kind wedding that brought so much joy to my heart. Annie and Mike are two extremely thoughtful, kind, loving, adventurous, and humble people. The energy you feel when you are around them is unexplainable. I think it is from a mixture of their love for each other and their love of life. When I say these two love life, I mean it. They do everything together. If you told them to go mountain climbing, cliff diving and then paint balling all in the same day they would happily accept your challenge with heads held high and smiles on their faces. And as if that wasn't enough, they would probably come home and cook a four-course meal to share with friends and family.

Annie and Mike chose to have their ceremony and reception on separate days. Their ceremony, which was held in their backyard Friday night, consisted of them, both sets of their parents, and an officiant. It was the most intimate ceremony I have ever photographed and it was perfect. Their heartfelt vows to each other made me tear up with joy for the two of them. We ended the evening with some sunset portraits in the fields behind their house. Everything was so calm and perfect for their wedding day.

The following day Annie and Mike had a small reception in their backyard with all of their closest friends and family. The reception consisted of the best barbecue I have ever had, a live band, tiki torches, a bonfire, and of course s'mores! The forecast called for rain the majority of the day, but to everyone's surprise it didn't rain a drop! It was a tad misty, but that just added to the Fall atmosphere in my opinion! Tim and I loved both days that we got to spend with Annie, Mike and their friends and family. We can't wait to hear all about their honeymoon and their first few weeks of marriage!

Congratulations Annie and Mike! Tim and I wish you the best, and look forward to watching all of your new adventures together.

I hope you all enjoy their gorgeous wedding photos!
